MAE THE PIRATE

After being accepted to Berklee College of Music for improvisation and classical training on piano, I decided I wanted to change course and master another instrument-- the cello. Though I had played it in high school, I spent years putting it second priority to piano. I promised myself I would practice every single day for 30 minutes until I was proficient enough to make it my primary instrument at Berklee College of Music. After spending the whole summer preparing, I was able to switch and keep my scholarship while performing on cello rather than piano. I practiced daily from June 23rd 2015 all the way to June 23rd 2016. I still use this notebook today and use it as proof that with enough dedication, you can achieve any goal.
